Ben turned 2 months old on December 28th. He's getting so old! And so big! We visited my midwife, Chinmayo, today and she weighed him - 13 lbs 13 oz!!! Today we also tried out his Bumbo seat for the first time. I wasn't sure how it would go because they have to be able to hold their heads up...Ben can do that pretty well while I'm holding him...and he did great in the Bumbo! I could tell that he got tired after about 5 minutes or so though. I guess we'll have to work up to longer times. Tomorrow is 2008...I wonder what 2008 will bring?!?
I'm not much for official resolutions but I am commited to "greening my cleaning". My mom got me this great book by Deidre Imus called "Green This! Greening Your Cleaning". I love it! I want to have only green cleaning supplies when we move into our house...that includes everything from toilet bowl cleaner to laundry soap and hand soap. I'm excited for it...no more burning my nose and throat while cleaning!
Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ben's First Visit with Santa
Ben, Landon and Santa
He looks so well posed!
Thursday we went to Nordstrom's so the boys could have their first visit with Santa. I was expecting a long line but we were the only one's there for awhile! The visit went really well and we got some super cute shots...We got a whole cd of pictures (about 40!) for $25, gone are the days of only one expensive picture with Santa!

Every parents dream...
Ben slept through the night!!! He went to sleep around 10:30pm and didn't get up to eat until 5:30am!!! So exciting! I don't expect this to happen every night but now at least I know he is capable of it... I of course woke up a few times to make sure he was still alive and even poked him once when I couldn't tell if he was breathing...he was breathing and I got a little grunt in return :)
6 week Checkup
Ben had his 6 week check up this past Monday. He is doing great! He weighed in at 12 lbs 2 oz...what a bubba! He has also grown and inch and a half and his head has grown an inch and a quarter. We don't go back until 4 months unless we have to!

Smiley Boy!
Ben and His Cousin Landon
Me, Brittany, Landon and Ben at our house...
Brittany and Landon came in to visit on Dec. 7th. It was the first time that Brittany and Landon got to meet Ben. As you can see from the picture down below Landon just wants to eat his cousin!

Funny Little Guy
Ben's Fish Face
He has made this face since birth and it is Granma Cathie's favorite... I'm glad we finally caught it on camera!
Ben's New Outfit
I think he kind of looks like a chipmunk here!
Ben is really getting big! Next Monday we go for his 6 week checkup (6 weeks already???) - I can't wait to see what he weighs. It should be a lot since he eats almost every 2 hours during the day! At night he has been pretty good - lately he has about a 5 hour stretch between at least one feeding then it is back to every 2-3 hours. He does go right back to sleep after eating though so there hasn't been hardly any nighttime crying (I know I just jinxed myself by saying that...). During the day he sleeps, eats, sometimes plays and fusses. He also is quite the grunter...during sleeping and eating.
On Friday Ben's Aunt Brittany and Cousin Landon are coming out to visit. It will be the first time they have seen Ben. I am super excited to have someone to hang out with during the day and of course just to see them!!!
