Coming Home

We got to come home from the hospital less than 12 hours after Ben was born. His coming home outfit is from his Auntie Rosie...

Benjamin Lee 10-28-07

Benjamin Lee was born on October 28th, 2007 at 6:23am after 28 hours of labor. He weighed 8lbs. 5 oz. and was 21 and a half inches long. He has soft brown hair and long fingers and toes! Ben came into this world a little differently than his momma had planned but both of us are healthy and doing well. We had planned a home birth that went very smoothly until after 2 and a half hours of pushing when my midwife determined he was just not coming down. So I was transported in the back of our Land Cruiser to the hospital. After arriving at the hospital I pushed for another hour or two and then my midwife decided an epidural would relax me and hopefully allow Ben to come down and avoid a C-Section. The epidural was like heaven on earth after pushing painfully for about 5 hours. I was able to sleep and then started to push again at 6am. With the help of vacuum extraction Ben was born in a couple pushes! Talk about relief!!! What a blessing he is...

40 Weeks

Baby is still hanging out in the belly. He seems very content to stay where he is at! I'm hoping he comes before Halloween but at this point it feels like it will never happen!!!

Waiting....

Well baby's due date has come and gone...so here I sit waiting for labor to begin! I am trying to keep busy but it is really hard to do much with a giant belly. So I nap, eat, watch TV and movies and run random errands. I'm glad my mom is here because I have someone to wait with all day!

More snow!

We got more snow last night. This is the first "real" snow we have had...everything looks so pretty and bright!
I am 39 weeks now and just waiting on baby to come. I know he is ready and I was hoping he would have wanted to come today and see all the new snow but it looks like I'm just going to have to keep waiting!!!
I got a new camcorder as an early birthday present today from Brent, my sister-in-law Brittany, my sister Rose, my mom and my mother-in-law. I am so excited to use it! Now I can upload videos and send them out to people once I figure it out! Yay!!! Thanks guys!!!!

First Snow!

This morning we woke up to snow on the ground! And it is still snowing! I'm sure we won't get much more than a dusting but it is still pretty... My only hope is that the roads aren't slick because I hate that!

Our Mini Nursery

Since our house is still being worked on we are living with Brent's parents. Which means we don't have an actual nursery for Baby Little, but we do have a "mini nursery"!
